Greenhorn Driving School is an MTO-approved driving school in Richmond Hill. We wrote these questions against the official handbook, and we keep them free because the knowledge test is public knowledge and nobody should need a subscription to practise it.
Everything on this page works without an account. Create a free one after your first test if you want your mistakes and scores on every device.
The visit takes about an hour, most of it in a queue. This is the shape of it, and the full guide has the rest.

20 on road signs and 20 on rules of the road, marked separately. You need 16 correct in each.
Knowledge tests are first come, first served. Arrive at least an hour before the centre closes.
Original identification with your legal name and date of birth, and whatever you need to pass the vision screening.
40, in two sections: 20 on road signs and 20 on rules of the road. You need 16 correct in each section. A strong score in one section does not make up for a weak one in the other, which is why the full test here marks them separately.
The knowledge test is included in the $159.75 Class G1 licence package you pay when you apply, which also covers one G2 road test and a five-year licence. If you fail, each extra attempt is $16, plus another trip to the centre.
You pay $16 and try again, and there is no mandatory waiting period. Your results stay valid for one year, and if you come back within that year you only have to redo the section that did not meet the standard. Leave it longer than a year and you start the whole test over.
No practice site can promise the exact questions you will receive. These questions are based on the rules, signs, limits, and penalties covered by the Official MTO Driver’s Handbook. The wording may differ on test day, which is why every answer includes an explanation of the underlying rule.
