Spending money on something you can’t touch is stressful. Here’s what happens when it doesn’t go to plan.
Refunds
Full refund if you cancel before the first lesson. Partial refund on unused lessons after that. No hoops, no hold music.

If they fail the test
Free 2-hour refresher, we help you rebook the road test, and we review the examiner’s report with your teen.

Questions parents ask.
Is the MTO certificate legit, and will insurance actually honor it?
Yes. Greenhorn is a licensed BDE provider — our course is on the Ontario-approved list, the certificate is filed directly with the MTO, and every major Ontario insurer recognizes it for the new-driver discount. Your teen also gets to take their G2 four months earlier than a non-BDE student.
How long has Greenhorn been operating?
We’ve been teaching drivers across the GTA since 2022. We’re based in Richmond Hill and serve Vaughan, Markham, and the surrounding area.
What happens if my teen hates their instructor?
One call. We swap them to a different instructor on their next lesson — no awkward conversations, no forfeited lessons. Fit matters more to us than consistency-for-its-own-sake.
Can I sit in on a lesson?
Usually no — teens drive better when they aren’t being watched by a parent, and the instructor needs a clear line of communication. But you can ride along during the first 5 minutes of the first lesson to meet the instructor, and the post-lesson eval is more detailed than anything you’d observe anyway.
What if something goes wrong — who do I call?
You get a direct line to our team, not a call centre. Every parent has the same phone number in their portal. If it’s an emergency during a lesson, the instructor’s number is also on file.
What’s your pass rate?
Our students pass the G2 road test on the first attempt at a rate significantly higher than the Ontario average. Exact numbers update quarterly and are visible in your portal — we don’t hide them.
